THE OBJECT OF THE SOCIETY IS TO PROMOTE IMPROVEMENT IN THE BREEDING AND REARING OF LIVESTOCK, THE INVENTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF AGRICULTURAL AND HORTICULTURAL IMPLEMENTS AND THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF SKILL AND INDUSTRY IN AGRICULTURE AND HORTICULTURE BY HOLDING AN ANNUAL SHOW OR BY SUCH OTHER MEANS AS THE COUNCIL MAY DETERMINE.
