1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC BY ESTABLISHING TOOLEY’S BOATYARD AS A WORKING HERITAGE CENTRE OF NARROWBOAT MAINTENANCE AND CONSTRUCTION DESIGNED TO ENHANCE PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF NARROWBOATS AND CANAL LIFE AND THE KEY ROLE PLAYED BY BANBURY, AND TOOLEY’S BOATYARD IN PARTICULAR, IN THE HISTORY OF CANALS. 2) TO PRESERVE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TOOLEY’S BOATYARD AS A BUILDING OF HISTORIC INTEREST.
