THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 25 WHO ARE RESIDENT IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA, BY PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND SUCH OTHER FACILITIES AS THE CIO DEEMS FIT WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE.
