THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:
TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF POCKLINGTON AND ITS HINTERLAND, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY ESTABLISHING AND OPERATING A PERMANENT MUSEUM AND COLLECTIONS FOR PUBLIC PRESENTATION, PROTECTION AND CONSERVATION OF HERITAGE ASSETS AND THE PROMOTION OF RESEARCH, THE USEFUL RESULTS OF WHICH WILL BE PUBLISHED FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT.
