THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO PROMOTE THE STUDY OF HISTORY, ARCHAEOLOGY, ANTIQUITIES AND ARCHITECTURE OF THE COUNTIES OF LEICESTERSHIRE AND RUTLAND AND TO FURNISH SUGGESTIONS FOR THE PRESERVATION OF ALL REMAINS CONSIDERED TO BE OF VALUE AND IMPORTANCE.
