Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1. THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF FOOD AND RELATED ADDITIONAL SERVICES, ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT FOR THOSE IN NEED. 2. TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY OF THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA, IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY. 3. THE PROMOTION OF GOOD HEALTH AND WELLBEING FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY PEOPLE AGED 18 YEARS AND OVER WHO SUFFERED TRAUMA FOLLOWING THE GRENFELL TOWER TRAGEDY, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES, PEER SUPPORT AND PRACTICAL ADVICE. 4. TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS. IN FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS BUT NOT OTHERWISE, THE TRUSTEES SHALL HAVE POWER: TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE AND TO MAINTAIN OR MANAGE OR CO-OPERATE WITH ANY STATUTORY AUTHORITY IN THE MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF SUCH A CENTRE FOR ACTIVITIES PROMOTED BY THE CHARITY IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS.
