Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1. TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING AND EMOTIONAL DISTRESS OF BEREAVED PARENTS AND FAMILIES WHO HAVE SUFFERED THE LOSS OF A BABY EITHER PRE-BIRTH, DURING OR SHORTLY AFTER BIRTH, IN SUCH WAYS AND BY SUCH MEANS AS ARE CHARITABLE AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE INCLUDING BUT NOT BY WAY OF LIMITATION THROUGH THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT SERVICES TO AFFECTED PARENTS AND FAMILIES; AND ADVOCACY CONCERNING TOPICS AND ISSUES RELEVANT TO THE OBJECTS. 2. THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF HEALTH BY THE PROVISION OF GRANT AWARDS TO CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS ALIGNED TO THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO (INCLUDING THOSE PROMOTING AND FURTHERING RESEARCH INTO THE CAUSES AND PREVENTION OF STILL-BIRTH AND NEONATAL DEATH).
