Charitable objects
3.1 THE RELIEF OF BENEFICIARIES WHO ARE IN NEED BECAUSE OF ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER DISADVANTAGE. 3.2 TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF BENEFICIARIES. 3.3 TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AMONG BENEFICIARIES WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC POSITION, IN PARTICULAR BY: 3.3.1 SUPPORTING AND FACILITATING EDUCATION AND TRAINING, INCLUDING IN VOCATIONAL SKILLS; 3.3.2 PROVIDING FORUMS, ADVOCACY AND GENERAL SUPPORT; 3.3.3 RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE ISSUES AFFECTING BENEFICIARIES, BOTH GENERALLY AND IN RELATION TO THEIR SOCIAL EXCLUSION. 3.4 TO PROMOTE HUMAN RIGHTS (AS SET OUT IN THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND SUBSEQUENT UNITED NATIONS CONVENTIONS AND DECLARATIONS) BY ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS: 3.4.1 RELIEVING NEED AMONG THE VICTIMS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSE; 3.4.2 RESEARCH INTO HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUES; 3.4.3 CONTRIBUTING TO THE SOUND ADMINISTRATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS LAW; 3.4.4 RAISING AWARENESS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUES. IN THIS CLAUSE, ‘BENEFICIARIES’ SHALL MEAN INTERPRETERS AND OTHER LOCALLY EMPLOYED CIVILIANS WHO HAVE WORKED WITH THE BRITISH ARMED FORCES IN AFGHANISTAN AND THEIR DEPENDANTS.
