For the benefit of the public in Kent to reduce the suffering of rescue dogs in need of care and attention and to provide and maintain rescue homes or other facilities for the reception, care, and treatment of such dogs; To promote human behaviour towards dogs. To educate the public so far as possible in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering.

THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF DOGS IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION IN KENT AND THE SURROUNDING AREA AND TO PROMOTE HUMANE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS THEM, IN PARTICULAR BY A) PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR THEIR RECEPTION, CARE, TREATMENT AND REHABILITATION AND, WHERE APPROPRIATE, MAKING ARRANGEMENTS TO REHOME THEM; B) OFFERING ADVICE AND INFORMATION ON RESPONSIBLE OWNERSHIP AND ISSUES CONCERNING THE BEHAVIOUR, HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF DOGS.
