Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: 3.1 TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND HELP YOUNG PEOPLE AGED UP TO 25 WHO ARE OR HAVE BEEN IN FOSTER CARE BY DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS; 3.2 TO ADVANCE THEIR EDUCATION; 3.3 TO RELIEVE UNEMPLOYMENT AMONGST THEM; 3.4 TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY AMONGST THEM; INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL OR OTHER SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE LEAVING OR HAVE LEFT FOSTER CARE. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].
