(A) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AMONGST THE INHABITANTS OF THE COUNTY OF SUSSEX AND ITS NEIGHBOURHOOD (THE AREA) WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, RACE OR POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS IN SUCH WAYS AS THE CHARITY SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE. (B) TO RELIEVE POVERTY AND DISTRESS AMONGST PEOPLE IN THE AREA WHO ARE DISADVANTAGED THROUGH ILL HEALTH, UNEMPLOYMENT, INADEQUATE HOUSING, LOW EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT OR ANY OTHER SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES.
