TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF STUDENTS FROM NIGERIA FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY:- (A) PROMOTING AND FINANCING THE HIGHER OR FURTHER EDUCATION OF NIGERIAN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS IN NIGERIA OR IN THE UK IN PARTICULAR BY GRANTING SCHOLARSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS WHICH PERPETUATE THE MEMORY OF THE LATE THE RIGHT HONOURABLE ALHAJI SIR ABUBAKAR TAFAWA BALEWA KBE,MP; AND (B) PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF RESOURCES AND FACILITIES FOR EDUCATION IN NIGERIA.
