1. To institute, promote and encourage for public benefit, the study of local history in all its aspects 2. To own, maintain and manage the Hampton Cottage museum, its artefacts, archives and records of the Society for the parishes of Ashtead, Fetcham, Bookham, Leatherhead for the current and future generations 3. To publish such historical/educational materials for the benefit of the public
