TO RELIEVE THE DISTRESS AND SUFFERING EXPERIENCED BY WOMEN WHO HAVE BEEN GRAVELY OR PERSISTENTLY MALTREATED BY THEIR HUSBANDS OR BY THEIR COHABITEES OR BY THE FATHERS OF THEIR CHILDREN, OR BY THE MEN WITH WHOM THEY HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATING AND ARE THUS IN NECESSITOUS CIRCUMSTANCES AND THEIR CHILDREN IN LIKE CIRCUMSTANCES WOMEN WHO'S CHILDREN HAVE SUFFERED SEXUAL ABUSE BY THEIR FATHERS OR BY THEIR COHABITEES OR BY THE MEN WHO THEY ASSOCIATE
