THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING AND EMOTIONAL DISTRESS AMONGST PARENTS AND FAMILIES WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE LOSS OF A BABY BEFORE, DURING OR SHORTLY AFTER CHILDBIRTH, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY SUPPORTING NEWLY BEREAVED PARENTS BY THE PROVISION OF A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER TO PHOTOGRAPH THEIR BABY FREE OF CHARGE, AND TO GIFT THESE IMAGES TO THE FAMILY.
