1) THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND PHYSICAL, MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DISTRESS AND ANXIETY AMONGST PERSONS WHO ARE IN TERMINAL ILL HEALTH OR OTHERWISE IN THE PROCESS OF DYING, SUCH RELIEF BEING PROVIDED BY SUPPORT AND ADVICE BY FACILITATING ACCESS TO INFORMATION, AND COUNSELLING AND TO OTHER THERAPIES AND TO OTHER SUPPORT SERVICES. 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AS TO THE PROBLEMS AND CONCERNS EXPERIENCED BY PERSONS WHO ARE DYING, AND AS TO THE TREATMENTS AND CARE AVAILABLE. 3) FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF HEALTH CARE WORKERS AS TO THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND OF PHYSICAL, MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DISTRESS AND ANXIETY AMONGST PERSONS WHO ARE IN TERMINAL ILL HEALTH OR OTHERWISE IN THE PROCESS OF DYING: AND TO PROVIDE COURSES, AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ASSIST WITH THE COST OF TRAINING.
