THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP IN THE MIDLANDS AND THROUGHOUT THE UK IN PARTICULAR (BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY) THROUGH: I. PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FOOD, CLOTHING, AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED; II. PROVIDING EDUCATION, TRAINING, TUTORING, HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE, CAREER GUIDANCE AND ALL NECESSARY SUPPORT TO IMPROVE EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES AND INCREASE OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUALS TO GENERATE A SUSTAINABLE INCOME AND BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT; III. WORKING WITH LOCAL SHELTERS AND COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS TO DISTRIBUTE RESOURCES EFFECTIVELY TO THOSE IN NEED. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].
