TO PROMOTE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT BY VARIOUS CHARITABLE MEANS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE REDUCTION OF CARBON EMISSIONS IN SUCH A WAY AS TO MITIGATE CLIMATE CHANGE, THE PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, THE PROMOTION OF RECYCLING AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY, AND THE REDUCTION OF HARMFUL POLLUTION.
'SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT' MEANS DEVELOPMENT WHICH MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE PRESENT WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE ABILITY OF FUTURE GENERATIONS TO MEET THEIR OWN NEEDS.
