TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE GOOD HEALTH, BOTH MENTAL AND PHYSICAL, AND TO RELIEVE THE DISTRESS OF THOSE PERSONS WHO HAVE SUFFERED A BEREAVEMENT AND IN PARTICULAR BY THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT TO THOSE PERSONS WHO HAVE LOST A CHILD THROUGH DEATH AT ANY STAGE DURING PREGNANCY AND THE FIRST MONTH OF LIFE TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN MATTERS RELATING TO THE NATURE OF GRIEVING AND BEREAVEMENT
