TO PROMOTE, IMPROVE, MAINTAIN AND ADVANCE EDUCATION BY THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF THE ARTS, INCLUDING THE ARTS OF MUSIC, DRAMA, DANCE, MIME AND SINGING, AND TO FORMULATE SCHEMES THEREFORE, IN LEICESTERSHIRE AND THE EAST MIDLANDS, PROVIDED THAT ALL SUCH SCHEMES ARE OF A CHARITABLE NATURE
