(1) TO PROVIDE A SERVICE FOR ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE THROUGH MEDIATION FOR COUPLES OR FAMILY GROUPS WHO ARE IN CONFLICT OR WHOSE RELATIONSHIPS ARE BREAKING DOWN OR HAVE BROKEN DOWN BY FACILITATING THE SETTLEMRNT OF DIFFERENCES OR POTENTIAL DIFFERENCES OVER ISSUES RELATING TO THEIR PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES CHILDREN AND CONTACT WITH THEM, FINANCES AND THE LIKE (2) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION THROUGH THE DISSEMINATION OF MEDIATION SKILLS AND INFORMATION RELATING TO MEDIATION: AND BY PROMOTING RESEARCH IN ALL ASPECTS OF FAMILY MEDIATION AND PUBLISHING THE USEFUL RESULTS THEREOF
