Charitable objects

THE TRUSTEES SHALL HOLD THE TRUST FUND AND THE INCOME THEREOF UPON THE TRUSTS AND SHALL APPLY THE SAME IN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING WAYS:- [A] TO ASSIST PERSONS IN DEVELOPING THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION IN THE SCIENCE AND PRACTISE OF MEDICINE AND GAIN ENTRY INTO THE MEDICAL PROFESSION; [B] TO GIVE AND AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS BURSARIES OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES TO ANY PERSON AS THE TRUSTEES MAY DEEM FIT PROVIDED THAT SUCH PERSON IS UNDERTAKING [OR IS ABOUT TO UNDERTAKE] A COURSE OF FORMAL EDUCATION AT ANY UNIVERSITY OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT TO PREPARE OR ASSIST SUCH PERSON GAIN ENTRY INTO THE MEDICAL PROFESSION; [C] TO PROMOTE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT MEDICAL RESEARCH GENERALLY AND IN PARTICULAR IN THE AREA OF OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGY.
