1) RELIEF OF PERSONS IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS IN THE CITY OF COVENTRY. 2) THE PAYMENT OF PENSIONS TO POOR PEOPLE, PREFERENCE BEING GIVEN TO FREEMEN OF THE CITY. 3) THE GENERAL ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF PERSONS UNDER 25 YEARS, PREFERENCE BEING GIVEN TO SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF FREEMEN OF THE SAID CITY.
