TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE BY CHARITABLE MEANS OF MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE SERVED AND OF THE WIDOWS, CHILDREN AND DEPENDANTS OF THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED IN OUR NAVY, ARMY, AIR FORCE OR AUXILIARY FORCES, OR IN THE MARCANTILE MARINE DURING HOSTILITIES AFLOAT, OR IN ANY RED CROSS ORGANISATION WHILST SERVING WITH THE ARMED FORCES.
