Charitable objects

FOR THE PECUNIARY ASSISTANCE OF RETIRED OFFICERS OF THE 1ST OR 2ND BATTALIONS OF THE ROYAL BERKSHIRE REGIMENT WHO ARE IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE AND ARE EITHER ELDERLY OR IN POOR HEALTH. IF THE OBJECTS CANNOT BE CARRIED OUT FOR THE ABOVE, THEY MAY BE APPLIED FOR THE FOLLOWING:- (1) WIDOWS AND DEPENDENTS OF RETIRED OFFICERS OF THE 1ST AND 2ND BATTALIONS OF THE ROYAL BERKSHIRE REGIMENT. (2) RETIRED OFFICERS WHO SERVED IN OTHER UNITS OF THE ROYAL BERKSHIRE REGIMENT DURING EITHER OF THE TWO WORLD WARS OF 1914-18 AND 1939-45 AND THEIR WIDOWS AND DEPENDENTS. (3) RETIRED OFFICERS OF THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH'S ROYAL REGIMENT (BERKSHIRE AND WILTSHIRE) AND THEIR WIDOWS AND DEPENDENTS.
