TO PROMOTE THE MATERIAL MENTAL PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL COMFORT AND WELFARE OF PERSONS WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO ARE AURALLY AND VISUALLY HANDICAPPED OR FUNCTIONING AS THOUGH AURALLY AND VISUALLY HANDICAPPED OR OTHERWISE SUFFERING FROM CONGENITAL EFFECTS OF RUBELLA. THE TRUSTEES MAY AMALGAMATE THE FUND WITH SUCH OTHER CHARITY OR CHARITIES IF AND IN SO FAR AS AMALGAMATION SHALL BE LEGALLY POSSIBLE.
