TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE RECREATIONAL FACILITIES, PLAYING FIELDS AND PLAYGOUNDS WITHIN SOUTHWOLD AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD, IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE; TO ENCOURAGE AND DEVELOP ALL RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE; TO RAISE BY SUBSCRIPTION OR OTHERWISE FUNDS FOR FURTHERANCE OF THE OBJECTS OF THE COUNCIL.
