THE PRESERVATION OF HUMAN LIFE BY THE TEACHING AND PRACTICE OF SWIMMING, WATER SAFETY, LIFE-SAVING RESUSCITATION OR SURVIVAL IN THE WATER: AND THEREBY PREPARE MEMBERS FOR THE AWARDS OF THE ROYAL LIFE SAVING SOCIETY AND THE SURVIVAL AWARDS OF THE AMATEUR SWIMMING ASSOCIATION.
