Charitable objects

THE COUNCIL IS ESTABLISHED TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE INHABITANTS OF LAMBETH WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR RACE, OR OF POLITCAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, TO POVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS; AND TO PROMOTE AND ORGANISE THE CO-OPERATION IN THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE AFORESAID PURPOSES AND TO THAT END BRING TOGETHER IN COUNCIL REPRESENATIVES OF THE STAUTORY AUTHORITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS ENGAGE IN THE FURTHERANCE OF THE AFORESAID PURPOSES WITHIN THE BOROUGH OF LAMBETH.
