I) TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE THE PUBLIC STUDY OF BRITISH FAMILY HISTORY, GENEALOGY, HERALDRY AND LOCAL HISTORY WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO PETERBOROUGH AND THE NEIGHBOURING DISTRICT. II) TO PROMMOTE THE PRESERVATION, SECURITY AND ACCESSABILITY OF ARCHIVAL MATERIAL.
