TO ALLEVIATE THE HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS OF CHILDREN WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT CAUSED BY THE BREAK UP OF MARRIAGE AND FAMILY AND TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH OF SUCH CHILDREN.
