THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS THE RELIEF OF NEED HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS IN UNDERDEVELOPED COUNTRIES AND ELSEWHERE WHEREVER THE SAME SHALL OCCUR AND THE TRUSTEES MAY GRANT SUCH RELIEF THROUGH THE AGENCY OF CAFOD (THE CATHOLIC FUND FOR OVERSEAS DEVELIPMENT) OR OTHER LIKE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHARITIES WORKING FOR THE PURPOSES OF SUCH RELIEF.
