TO AWARD A GRANT EACH YEAR TO A PUPIL OR PUPILS OF ABBS CROSS SCHOOL HORNCHURCH, ESSEX WITH THE OBJECT OF FURTHERING HIS(HER) THEIR EDUCATION BY CONTRIBUTING TO THE COST OF PARTICIPATION IN A SCHOOL OR EXTRAMURAL ACTIVITY WHERE TRAVEL IS INVOLVED. THE TRUST WILL THEREBY COMMEMORATE THE NAME OF LIONEL BASS, THE SCHOOL'S FIRST HEADMASTER.
