1. THROUGH PARTNERSHIP TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE PEOPLE OF AFRICA IN ORDER THAT THEY MAY BETTER MEET THEIR OWN NEEDS, CLAIM THEIR RIGHTS AND INCREASE THEIR WELL BEING. 2. TO PROMOTE, THROUGH DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION IN THE UK, AN AWARENESS OF BOTH THE CAUSES OF POVERTY AND SOCIAL INJUSTICE AS WELL AS THE LEARNING THAT CAN BE GAINED FROM COMMUNITIES IN THE GLOBAL SOUTH.
