(1) TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY OF HER MAJESTY'S ARMY AND PARTICULARLY THE CORPS [THE ARMY AIR CORPS ESTABLISHED ON 1ST SEPTEMBER 1957] IN SUCH CHARITABLE WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY DECIDE; AND (2) THE RELIEF OF PERSONS WHO ARE (A) IN NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS; AND (B) ARE SERVING OR FORMER MEMBERS OF THE CORPS OR THE CHILDREN OR DEPENDANTS OF SUCH PERSONS.
