TO PROVIDE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE A PUBLIC RECREATION GROUND AND PLAYING FIELDS FOR THE PUBLIC, BEING INHABITANTS OF COTTINGHAM, WILLERBY, KIRKELLA, ANLABY, HESSLE AND SKIDBY, AND THE PROVISION OF COACHING AND EDUCATION IN PROPER SPORTING ACTIVITIES FOR YOUNG PERSONS ATTENDING SCHOOL, COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY AND THE DISABLED OF ALL AGES, WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.
