(1) FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN GLOBAL HYDROCARBON RESOURCES IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE PROMOTION OF RESEARCH ( INTO SUBJECTS WHICH MAY INCLUDE STRATEGIES, LEVELS OF RESOURCES AND DEPLETION RATES) AND THE DISSEMINATION OF THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH. (2) FOR ANY OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION THINK FIT.
