Charitable objects
1. THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL NEED AMONGST RETIRED FORMER EMPLOYEES, THEIR SPOUSES, WIDOWS, WIDOWERS AND DEPENDANTS, WHERE THE RETIRED FORMER EMPLOYEE HAS WORKED IN THE PHILIPS/ PYE GROUP OF COMPANIES OR OTHER COMPANIES IN THE ELECTRONICS INDUSTRY IN EAST ANGLIA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, GOODS AND SERVICES. 2. THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES FOR RETIRED FORMER EMPLOYEES, THEIR SPOUSES,WIDOWS, WIDOWERS AND DEPENDANTS, WHERE THE RETIRED FORMER EMPLOYEE HAS WORKED IN THE PHILIPS/PYE GROUP OF COMPANIES OR OTHER COMPANIES IN THE ELECTRONICS INDUSTRY IN EAST ANGLIA AND IS IN NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES AND THE RECREATIONAL FACILITIES ARE PROVIDED IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE FOR SUCH PERSONS.
