Charitable objects
THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND THE RELIEF OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS BY THE PROVISION OF SCHOLARSHIPS TO ANY CHILD OR OTHER DEPENDANT OF ANY PERSON WHO HAS BEEN KILLED OR PERMANENTLY INJURED AS A RESULT OF THE TERRORIST ATTACK ON THE WORLD TRADE CENTRE IN NEW YORK AND SIMILAR TRAGEDIES AND WHO IS IN NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS FOR THE PURPOSE OF UNDERTAKING A COURSE LEADING TO A DEGREE OR OTHER RECOGNISED QUALIFICATION AT A RECOGNISED HIGHER OR FURTHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND NORTHERN IRELAND OR UNDERTAKING A STUDY COURSE OF NO MORE THAN ONE YEAR IN THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND ORGANISED BY A HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION ESTABLISHED IN THE UNITED STATES OR ELSEWHERE.
