THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS OF THE PEOPLE OF SRI LANKA, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY ORPHANS, WHO ARE VICTIMS OF WAR, FAMINE OR ANY OTHER NATURAL OR MAN-MADE DISASTER BY THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL AND MATERIAL ASSISTANCE, ACCOMMODATION AND SUCH OTHER ASSISTANCE, ACCOMMODATION AND SUCH OTHER ASSISTANCE AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DEEM NECESSARY WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR SUCH PERSONS.
