TO PROMOTE RESEARCH INTO THE SHWACHMAN DIAMOND SYNDROME (SDS) AND THE DISSEMINATION OF THE USEFUL RESULTS THEREOF, BY THE PROVISION OF FUNDS TO RELEVANT RESEARCH ORGANISATIONS. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, REGARDING THE CONDITION OF SDS TO ASSIST IN EARLY DIAGNOSIS AND TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE CONDITION TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF INDIVIDUALS DIAGNOSED WITH SDS, THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS, BY ANY SUCH CHARITABLE MEANS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
