Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE TRUST SHALL BE TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF POVERTY OF ELDERLY PEOPLE WITHIN THE CITY OF YORK AND ITS ENVIRONS IN ANY MANNER WHICH NOW IS OR HEREAFTER MAY BE DEEMED BY LAW TO BE CHARITABLE AND TO SUPPORT AND COOPERATE WITH OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE SUCH POVERTY AND ITS EFFECTS ON THE ABILITY OF THE ELDERLY TO RETAIN DIGNITY AND INDEPENDENCE.
