Charitable objects

FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, TO MAKE GRANTS TO INSTITUTIONS ESTABLISHED WITHIN A 25 MILES RADIUS OF THE LANCASTER CLUB, BROADWAY, FAILSWORTH, FOR SUCH PURPOSES CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS WILL A. ADVANCE THE PLAYING OF AMATEUR SPORT; B. PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE, IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE.
