THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TEACHING, PREACHING AND PROPAGATING THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CIO'S STATEMENT OF BELIEFS (SET OUT IN ANNEX 1) PRINCIPALLY IN DEVON BUT ALSO BY SUPPORTING AND ENCOURAGING CHRISTIAN FAITH THROUGHOUT THE WORLD AND TO RELIEVE THE DISTRESS OF THOSE WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED OR HARDSHIP OR WHO ARE AGED OR SICK PRINCIPALLY IN DEVON BUT IN SUCH OTHER LOCATIONS BOTH IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND THE WORLD AS MAY BE THOUGHT FIT.
