TO FOSTER AND PROMOTE THE MAINTENANCE, IMPROVEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF ARTISTIC TASTE AND THE KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF THE ARTS IN PARTICULAR FOR THE COMMUNITY OF THE ALLERDALE DISTRICT COUNCIL INCLUDING ANY STATUTORY MODIFICATIONS OR ALTERATIONS FROM TIME TO TIME THEREOF.
