THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS THE RELIEF, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, OF THOSE IN NEED THROUGHOUT SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA, BY REASON OF YOUTH, AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER DISADVANTAGE, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES AND SERVICES, AND ACCOMMODATION.
