THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: A. TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING CHRISTIAN DOCTRINES: 1. GOD: OUR LIFE'S MAJOR PURSUIT IS KNOWING GOD AND OUR ULTIMATE RESPONSE TO THIS IS LOVING HIM WITH ALL OUR HEART, SOUL, AND MIND (MT. 22:37). GOD EXISTS IN THREE PERSONS: THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT (2 COR. 13:14). A. REGARDING THE FATHER, HE IS FATHER OF ALL CREATION INCLUDING MAN WHO WAS CREATED IN HIS IMAGE. HE DESIRES AN INTIMATE LOVE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS CREATED CHILDREN. HE CREATED US TO WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH. EVERYTHING AND EVERY ONE IS IN SUBJECTION TO HIM. (MAL. 2:10; JER. 31:9; ROM. 3:29; JOHN 1:12, 13; 4:24; 8:27-30). B. REGARDING THE SON, JESUS CHRIST, HE IS COEQUAL WITH THE FATHER. HE WAS BORN OF A VIRGIN, AND RECEIVED A HUMAN BODY AND A SINLESS HUMAN NATURE. HE BECAME AND REMAINED A PERFECT MAN, AND WAS SINLESS THROUGHOUT HIS LIFE. HE RETAINED HIS ABSOLUTE DEITY, BEING AT THE SAME TIME VERY GOD AND VERY MAN (LUKE 2:40; JOHN 1:1-2; PHIL. 2:5-8). C. REGARDING THE HOLY SPIRIT, HE IS COEQUAL WITH THE FATHER AND THE SON OF GOD. HE IS PRESENT IN THE WORLD TO MAKE MEN AWARE OF THEIR NEED FOR JESUS CHRIST. HE ALSO LIVES IN EVERY CHRISTIAN FROM THE MOMENT OF SALVATION. HE PROVIDES THE CHRISTIAN WITH POWER FOR LIVING, UNDERSTANDING OF SPIRITUAL TRUTH, AND GUIDANCE IN DOING WHAT IS RIGHT. EVERY BELIEVER SHOULD SEEK TO BE FILLED OR BAPTIZED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. HE GIVES EVERY BELIEVER AT LEAST ONE SPIRITUAL GIFT WHEN THEY ARE SAVED. AS CHRISTIANS WE SEEK TO LIVE UNDER HIS CONTROL DAILY. (II CORINTHIANS 3:17; JOHN 16:7-13, 14:16, 17; ACTS 1:8; I CORINTHIANS 2:12, 3:16; EPHESIANS 1:13; GALATIANS 5:25; EPHESIANS 5:18.) 2. PEOPLE: THE SALVATION OF PEOPLE WAS THE REASON CHRIST BECAME A MAN AND DIED ON THE CROSS (LK 19:10). WE MUST LOVE OUR NEIGHBOURS AS OURSELVES REGARDLESS OF DENOMINATION, RACE, OR ECONOMIC STATUS (MATT. 22:39). 3. SCRIPTURE: THE BIBLE IS THE WRITTEN AUTHORITY FOR LIFE. IT SHOULD BE STUDIED AND COMMUNICATED IN A CLEAR, ACCURATE, AND RELEVANT WAY THAT MINISTERS GRACE AND URGES OBEDIENCE (2 TIM 3:16-17). ALL SCRIPTURE IS GIVEN BY INSPIRATION OF GOD AND EXTENDS EQUALLY AND FULLY TO ALL PARTS OF THE WRITINGS, AS THEY APPEAR IN THE ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPTS. WE BELIEVE THAT THE WHOLE BIBLE IN THE ORIGINALS IS WITHOUT ERROR (1 COR. 2:13; 2 TIM. 3:16). 4. SALVATION: NO ONE CAN ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD UNLESS THEY ARE BORN AGAIN AND THAT NO DEGREE OF MERIT CAN BE GAINED OR EARNED TO HELP THE SINNER TOWARD HEAVEN; BUT A NEW NATURE IMPARTED FROM ABOVE, A NEW LIFE IMPLANTED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT THROUGH THE WORD, IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL TO SALVATION. THE NEW BIRTH OF THE BELIEVER COMES ONLY THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST (JOHN 3:7-18; ROM. 5:6-9). ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SIN AND AROSE FROM THE DEAD IN THE SAME BODY, THOUGH GLORIFIED, IN WHICH HE HAD LIVED AND DIED. HE WHO KNEW NO SIN BECAME SIN FOR US AND THUS PROVIDES FORGIVENESS AND ETERNAL LIFE BY CONQUERING SIN, DEATH AND THE DEVIL (JOHN 3:16, 20:20; 1 COR. 15; 1 PETER 2:22-24; REV. 20:7-15). 5. UNITY: DISCIPLES MUST MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO KEEP THE UNITY OF THE SPIRIT THOUGH THE BOND OF PEACE. DIVISIONS HURT THE BODY OF JESUS CHRIST AND WE MUST BY GODÆS GRACE LIVE OUR LIVES IN HUMBLE OBEDIENCE TO OUR CALLING OF ONE HOPE, ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM, ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL (EPH. 4:2-6,12-13). 6. WORSHIP: DISCIPLES MUST GIVE GOD OUR ADORATION, LOVE, OBEDIENCE, AND PRAISE THAT TRANSFORMS OUR INNERMOST BEING. THIS IS WHAT HE DESIRES FROM US AND THE REASON HE CREATED US (PS 95:6; JN 4:24). OUR FORMS OF WORSHIP WILL BEST CAPTURE WHAT GOD IS DOING IN OUR GENERATION AND CULTURE. WE BELIEVE IN DOING ALL WE CAN BY THE GRACE OF GOD TO ELIMINATE DIVISIONS IN THE BODY OF CHRIST (1 COR. 1: 10). 7. PRAYER: THE TASK OF REACHING PEOPLE FOR JESUS CHRIST DEMANDS DEPENDENCE ON GOD. WITHOUT FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD IN PRAYER, THE TASK OF BUILDING HIS CHURCH IS POWERLESS (JN 15:5-9). 8. DISCIPLESHIP: CHRIST CALLS HIS FOLLOWERS INTO A REAL COMMITMENT TO HIM (MT 16:24). THE DISTINGUISHING MARK OF THE DISCIPLE IS LOVE. CHRIST WANTS HIS DISCIPLES TO LOVE GOD, NEIGHBOURS, AND ENEMIES (MT. 5:43-48; 22:38; JN 13:34-35). 9. LEADERSHIP: CHRIST'S MISSION TO SAVE THE WORLD BEGAN WITH THE TRAINING OF TWELVE MEN (JN 13:13-15; 17:6-19). LIKEWISE, THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY OF APOSTLES, PROPHETS, EVANGELISTS, PASTORS AND TEACHERS IS TO PREPARE GOD'S PEOPLE FOR WORKS OF SERVICE (EPH 4:12). THIS INCLUDES THE DEVELOPMENT OF GIFTS UNIQUELY GIVEN BY THE HOLY SPIRIT TO EACH PERSON (1 COR. 7:7; 12-14). 10. EVANGELISM: CHRIST DESIRES THE MESSAGE OF REPENTANCE AND FORGIVENESS OF SINS TO BE PREACHED TO OUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBOURS, OUR COUNTRY AND TO THE WORLD (LK 24:43-49). B. TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION MAINLY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY MEANS OF BROADCASTING CHRISTIAN MESSAGES OF AN EVANGELISTIC AND TEACHING NATURE. C. TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IN NORTH WALES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES, PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS, PRODUCING AND/OR DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE ON JESUS CHRIST TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION.
