THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO RELIEVE THE SICKNESS OF INDIVIDUALS WITH A PATHOGENIC GENETIC VARIANT IN THE SLC6A1 GENE, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: (1) SUPPORTING RESEARCH INTO THE CONDITION; (2) PROVIDING INFORMATION, ADVICE AND SUPPORT TO SUCH INDIVIDUALS, THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS; AND (3) RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE CONDITION.
