THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO PROVIDE ALMSHOUSES FOR RESIDENTS BEING POOR AND AGED PERSONS (EXCEPT IN SPECIAL CASES TO BE APPROVED BY THE CHARITY COMMISSION) FROM THE PARISH OF RETTENDON.
IN RELATION TO ANY ADDITIONAL REAL PROPERTY WHICH MAY BE ACQUIRED OR DEVELOPED BY THE CIO AFTER THE DATE OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CIO THIS MAY BE USED AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE CHARITY TRUSTEES TO PROVIDE ACCOMMODATION FOR ANYONE HAVING NEED OF SUCH ACCOMMODATION BY REASON OF HIS/HER ILLNESS, INFIRMITY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES.
