THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:
TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT IN AND AROUND NEWBURY, BERKSHIRE AND THE PROMOTION OF BIODIVERSITY OF ALL WILD NATIVE FLORA AND FAUNA, BY WORKING WITH LANDOWNERS AND PUBLIC BODIES TO OBTAIN THE NECESSARY PERMISSION TO UNDERTAKE CONSERVATION WORK USING VOLUNTEERS.
